e-wellbeing’s new digital guide to talking about suicidal thoughts

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on children and young people, especially when it comes to mental health and emotional wellbeing. Since March 2020, there has been an increase in children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties, including suicidal thoughts and self-harm.

Co-produced with young people, our brand new digital guide aims to raise awareness of suicidal thoughts, develop understanding of how young people may experience this, and encourage us all to talk about it in a safe, non-judgemental way. It is suitable for use in educational settings and other services supporting young people, and can be downloaded to use digitally or be printed.

The interactive guide also includes links to a wide range of services in Sussex that can be accessed by young people, and/or parents, carers, or professionals who are supporting a young person experiencing suicidal thoughts.
