About the service
We offer a range of support services to young people aged 11-17 in West Sussex including: face to face counselling, online counselling, art therapy, CBT based support, canine counselling, groupwork and family work. We also have a specialist counselling service for young people who are from ethnic minority groups. We work in lots of different locations in the community – we have private rooms in places like community centres, libraries and youth centres.
We now also offer a group programme for parents of children and young people accessing therapy with us who would benefit from a space where they can access peer support and talk through ways they can support their child.
Young people are supported by us for lots of different reasons. Some might be struggling at school or with their friends, some are finding home life really difficult. Whatever is going on for you, our service is here to listen and to try and help young people find a way to manage. The most common kind of difficulties young people we see are experiencing are things like: anxiety, low mood, having thoughts about self harm or suicide, low self esteem and struggles in relationships with friends, a partner or family. Our staff are really experienced in working with young people from all different types of backgrounds and have had special training to work with young people.
